Sustainability

We are continuously striving to be as sustainable as possible! Here are some of the ways we are doing so:

1. Carbon Offsetting with Greenr

We are very excited to have teamed up with Greenr to give you the option to reduce the carbon footprint of your purchase! When you purchase a candle from us, simply tick the option to add £1.00 to your order, and Greenr will do the rest.

Greenr is a social enterprise that uses technology to connect you, the consumer, to carbon offsetting programmes in a transparent way. Their carbon experts have sourced some of the leading carbon removal projects in the world, all of which are of the highest carbon standard with certifications under the Gold Standard, Verified Carbon Standard, the Woodland Carbon Code and CCB Standard.

By adding £1.00 to your order, you are ensuring that your carbon footprint is offset via one of their projects, which you can read about here:  https://www.gogreenr.co/projects/

Currently, Greenr automatically allocates the offsets equally amongst all their projects but are developing an app that will allow you, the consumer, to pick the projects you feel strongly about, to be released in the near future!

2. Your beautiful ceramic bowl can be re-used after the candle has burned!

We love to see our customers reusing their bowls. All our bowls are dishwasher and oven-proof. Our White and Anthracite bowls are suitable for food use, however our coloured bowls (Gold, Blue, Green) are not due to a small amount of lead being used in the glazing process. For details on how to clean out your candle once it has burned, please see our Candle Care page.

3. Recyclable packaging

Our candles come packaged in cardboard boxes, filled with biodegradable packing peanuts - you simply put them in the sink and run the water until they dissolve! We do have to include a final layer of bubble wrap as our candles are fragile and we would hate for them to arrive broken, however this can be recycled along with carrier bags at collection points such as supermarkets.

If you have any new, innovative ideas for sustainability, please drop us a message! We'd love to hear from you.
